ABOUT ASSEMBLY

Assembly is the highest organ of decision making in the Association. The Assembly is composed of the members of the Association, in principle Heads of municipalities, or mayors with the four year term. Exceptionally, the Assembly can be composed by other representatives authorized by Head or a Mayor of a municipality.

The Assembly has its President and Deputy President coming from different constitutive nations. Representatives of all members equally participate in the work of the Assembly. Each member has one vote when decisions are made.

The Assembly holds session at least once a year to discuss the most important issues, as stipulated in the Article 19.

From the first Assembly held in Mostar on the 29th of May 2002 to date the Association has held six Assembly sessions. Three of those were electoral (22 March 2007, 16 April 2009 and 7 February 2013) and three regular sessions (7 December 200, 7 May 2010 and 6 October 2011).

The mandate of the President of the Assembly of the Association of municipalities and towns of FBIH and of his Deputy lasts until the next election, after the local elections held in 2012, and is in line with the Statute of the Association.
